If you're craving a smoky, savory experience that encapsulates the essence of true Southern-style cooking, look no further than Redsmoke Barbeque, nestled in the heart of Detroit at 573 Monroe St. This barbecue haven invites you to indulge your palate in a menu brimming with rich flavors, expertly smoked meats, and irresistible sides that will leave you longing for more.

The vibrant atmosphere of Redsmoke Barbeque exudes a casual yet lively feel, perfect for gathering with friends for a hearty meal or stopping in for a quick bite before catching the nearby Tigers game. As you walk through the doors, the tantalizing aroma of hickory-smoked meats immediately envelops you, setting the stage for a culinary adventure.

One bite of their famed Carolina Back Ribs, slow-smoked to perfection, makes it clear why this dish is a standout. The ribs are tender, falling off the bone, and are complemented beautifully by the Memphis Mudd sauce—a sweet and slightly zesty offering that perfectly enhances the rich smoked flavors. Meat enthusiasts will also appreciate the Texas Smoked Brisket and Apple Smoked All Natural Chicken, both infused with a delightful marriage of spices and smoky accents that keep your taste buds dancing.

Start your journey with the scrumptious Jerk Wings, marinated in a spicy Jamaican jerk sauce that delivers a flavorful punch, or the Crispy Chicken Quesadilla Roll, bursting with gooey cheese and fresh ingredients. Pair these starters with an array of house-made sauces, including the tangy Michigan Cherry Molasses, which adds a unique twist that you’ll crave long after your visit.

All the while, the service at Redsmoke Barbeque adds another layer to your dining experience. Patrons have raved about the attentive staff—particularly Karen—who ensures your every need is met with a smile. This kind of hospitality transforms a meal into an occasion, as you feel pampered while savoring delicious food.

While most reviews lean towards the positive, some guests have noted minor hiccups—a few mentions of draught beers needing cleaning have been shared. However, these instances are far overshadowed by the overwhelming love for the food. As one satisfied diner quipped, "The best barbecue I've had in a decade," solidifying Redsmoke Barbeque's reputation as a must-visit spot when in Detroit.

Whether you’re a barbecue aficionado or just starting your journey into the smoky world of grilled meats, Redsmoke Barbeque promises to deliver a meal that is not just food but a celebration of flavor and community. Don’t miss your chance to indulge in this culinary gem, where every visit feels like a taste of home. The food was great. My beer, not so much. It’s my fault for not saying something when I was there, especially since I paid for it. The draught lines need a good cleaning. My beer had off flavors and floaters in it. Back to the food: I ordered the classic combo with Texas smoked brisket (which was fantastic!) and Andouille sausage, along with Mac and cheese for the side. Everything was great, except the corn muffin that came with was very dry. Service was good and prompt. I would recommend.

Food was amazing. Meats well prepared and the sauces are an awesome blast of flavor that was not expected. Our waitress Karen was very helpful and did an amazing job waiting on us and staying on top of refills. Not sure how this place isn't more packed. Only thing negative which is not the restaurants fault is the construction out front. Not that there's much of a view other then the casino but I'm here for the food. Highly recommend trying this place out. I'll be back for more.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon, just before a Tigers game, with a large group of 11. We were the only patrons in the place when we arrived. We ordered a variety of dishes, including burgers, brisket sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, and pulled pork nachos. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals, praising the flavors and quality. Our server provided excellent service, and while we did have to wait a bit longer than expected for our food, it was well worth it. Note that an automatic 15% gratuity is added to the bill, clearly indicated at the entrance. Overall, a great dining experience!

It's probably one of the better BBQ spots downtown Detroit. I've just had a lot better. I would recommend it if downtown and wanted BBQ.

The best barbecue I've had in a decade. How does a bar in Greek town Detroit have the most amazing applewood smoke chicken, ork and beans and collards in the country!! I will be back in a couple of months when I can sample the rest of the higher calorie menu items. The wait staff, is engaging and go above and beyond (Quinterria, Davaunqa***) Seriously, folks don't come to the Motor City and miss out on this tasty treasure!!! !!!Warning don't bring your momma, cause you just might slap her on both sides of her face the food is so good!!!

I absolutely love this place! Every time I come to Detroit I make it my first place to go. The ribs with the cherry molasses sauce are out of this world. Best fried pickles I've ever had in my life. The jalapeno muffins were epic as well. I also had the best beer of my life there. It was a honey blood orange. I hope they keep it forever lol. I absolutely love this place and tell everyone to come here if they're going to Detroit.
